Teachers

PYP teachers acquire a contributing role in the learning process for each and every child.

They undertake the role of a student assistant,student partner and mentor leading to the discovery and acquisition of knowledge based on a constructivist approach of teaching and learning. The teachers are inquirers as well; they listen to the child, they formulate questions and focus on the process of learning according to the students’ skills and needs.

International School of Piraeus teachers are continuously involved with professional development, taking part in training seminars both organised by the school itself and internationally. In this context, we cooperate with the IB Organization, IB schools, other international educational organisations and international schools, through visits, workshops, online training and exchange programmes, creating an ongoing learning and professional environment.
