Since our first school opened in Geneva in 1968, the IB has expanded its global footprint across the world. There are now 1.4 million students studying an IB education across the Americas, Asia Pacific and Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Today more than 5,050 schools in 156 countries around the world offer the IB Programmes. More than 75.000 teachers are trained each year. The average 5 year growth rate of IB programmes offered worldwide is 39%.
