A Holistic Approach
to Nutrition

At the International School of Piraeus, a healthy mind means being fueled with positive thoughts and staying open to learning. Likewise, a healthy body requires a balanced diet that positively impacts growth, focus, energy levels, and learning capacity.

Nutritional policy

The International School of Piraeus follows a specially designed nutritional policy based on HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) quality management standards. Our facilities include an on-site kitchen and dining hall where healthy meals are prepared daily.

Early Years

The school provides morning snacks and lunch to students in our Early Years programme, which includes Nursery, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten.

For Primary School students, lunch is served to those who stay for Homework club or participate in our extra-curricular activities. Additionally, fresh fruits and healthy snacks are available during breaks through our school canteen.

homemade meals

All meals are homemade and prepared in our kitchen, ensuring they are rich in nutrients while avoiding ingredients such as sugar, chocolate, nuts, and excessive salt. However, all students are welcome to bring food from home if they wish.

Benefits of Proper Nutrition

It is of vital importance to us to educate our young learners on the benefits of a balanced diet, incorporating all the essential components necessary for maintaining their health and boosting their immune system.

Daily meals also provide an opportunity for students to sit together and strengthen their interpersonal relationships, fostering a sense of belonging within the ISP community.
